During our annual trip to the heart of the Alps we soak up all the cultural heritage and history that we can.  With a base camp in Munich, we rent a car or hop a train, book our next hotel while on the road, and find all the magic in the melding of Swiss, Bavarian, Austrian/Tyrolian, and northern Italian regions.  We sample food & drink, note brands and techniques, and bring that experience back home to you and your special event. 

 

As a military family (third generation Army brat wife of a Navy brat here), we have visited and lived all over the world; our lives are a patchwork of that upbringing in diverse locations.  I learned from the best Omas (my German grandmother and first-generation immigrant great-grandmother) by collecting their recipes, continuing the tradition of playing their bier-drinking songs on records at family gatherings, and watching how to really put out the spread for guests. 

 

I love re-creating all those special memories that are instantly triggered by the aroma of a unique food or the first sip of a drink.  Allow me the honor of preparing for you my family's tried and true Blaukraut/Rotkohl recipe that has been handed down for generations or to explain what makes German bier so clean and refreshing while you taste it.

Our family is always in the kitchen (a commercial one or at home) drinking, scheming, dancing, creating, eating -- and of course, cooking & baking.  We just love the experience of sharing a drink and a meal --whether that’s in our house, a German gasthaus, Korean barbeque restaurant, or the latest tapas bar.  We strive to keep alive our German heritage, heart for travel, and diverse experiences by bringing authentic food and fun to the festivities for over 15 years.  We shine when sharing and serving up genuine hospitality...when new and old friends become family.  Ein prosit der gemütlichkeit!
